House of Dark Shadows [Book Tuesday]

So for my first book review/recommendation I was going to pick some profound book with literary value and the typical spot in school reading lists. But then I thought 'why not just talk about the last book you read?!' So that's what I shall do...
House of Dark Shadows by Robert Liparulo is EPIC! I must admit that I didn't look at the cover, or the title, before snagging it off the shelf and reading the blurb. Skimming through it I noticed that the main character was an aspiring filmmaker (much like myself). So, happy with my find, I borrowed it from the library, stuffed (gently placed, I couldn't do that to a book!) it into my bag and scurried off. Later I was reading the "Prologue" thinking 'this is a little creepier than I was expecting, what's this actually called?!' It was at that point I looked at the front cover for the first time. Nevertheless, I continued and finished it. And I LOVED IT! It was really awesome!

I wont do spoilers, because I want you to read it, but I will tell you a little bit...
It's a family that moves into an old, particularly eerie house. I was thinking it would be cliché with a very "Scooby-Doo" ending; however it completely surprised me! There was everything it needed to satisfy the sci-fi nerd inside me and a really cool ending that, I will admit, I sort of saw coming, but I would've been severely disappointed I it didn't end the way I thought it would.
Definitely give it a read if you can, it's AWESOME! (I think I say "awesome" too much.)

If you've read it let me know what you thought in the comments! If you want to read it but need to know more first, let me know down in the comments and I'll do what I can.

BYE!
